This is a high-end model from Yamaha that has an X on the back and is solidly built. There is a gap in the lower panel that allows sound to escape (tone escape). In addition, the pressure bar that holds down the strings uses an Aliquot system like Steinway. The hammer felt has underfelt from the low to the high notes, producing a solid bass sound. The touch and tone are well balanced and the piano is very easy to play. The sound is mellow with no metallic sounds. It is so popular that some people are looking for the X-braced model, and it sells out quickly when it arrives. The interior and exterior are in good condition. It is a great bargain for a high-quality Japanese-made piano. |
